Perhaps one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in this century
The KORICANCHA - SAQSAYWAMAN Project is an ambitious program of research and exploration in the ancient Temple of the Sun of the Incas (Koricancha, today Monastery of Santo Domingo) and in the archaeological site of Saqsaywaman in Cusco (Peru), on the complex system of Inca and pre-Inca tunnels, and the historic possibility of the existence of Inca gold artifacts in its interior.

The project consists of two Phases
Phase I, mapping and excavation of the areas around Saqsaywaman and inside the Convent of Santo Domingo was conducted in the period of 2001 to 2004.
In Phase I we invested US$ 600.000,- for excavations and radar mapping.
We have analyzed the information gathered in Phase I, and located the sites where we will excavate in Phase II with the purpose of penetrating into the CHINKANA.
Budget for Phase II is € 350.000
